Drake Circus

Plymouth’s Drake Circus is a new 49,200m² shopping centre by P&O Developments. Four commissions are sited throughout, ranging from Lucy Glendinning’s landmark 7.5m high sculpture to Jan Blake’s theatrical suspended silk piece. Two smaller commissions were produced in conjunction with local schools; a poem engraved in a sculptural sign and drawings reproduced as glass floor tiles.
